About Indico

Indico Solutions is a software development company founded in 2004 in Melbourne, Australia. Since then Indico Solutions has developed a suite of IT solutions, Indico Clinical Guideline Platform. This platform was designed to assist in the development and dissemination of treatment guidelines to both clinical and non-clinical professionals.

Indico Solutions brings together over 20 years of corporate Information Technology and systems development experience. Our developers are all Microsoft certified and the Indico Solutions application has been tested to conform to Industry standards by Microsoft.

The first version of the Indico CGP, called “APGi” was built in partnership with the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACEOM) to distribute its extensive guideline library. This platform is still in use today and covers some 2,000 recommendations and 5,000 pages of guideline material.

In 2013 Indico Solutions began a new development pathway in response to the Institute of Medicine (IOM) reports “Finding What Works in Health Care: Standards for Systematic Reviews”and “Clinical Practice Guidelines We Can Trust”. The renewed focus of this development was to provide improved tools to assist guideline developers in the systematic review of the literature and to expedite the development process.

The IOM papers outlined in detail the academic expectations in the development of trustworthy guidelines. However Indico is cognizant of real world limitations to guideline development in an environment of limited resources. In response, the Indico CGP platform, unlike other software tools, has been deliberately built to have the required flexibility in workflows to allow guideline developers configure the platform to their needs, rather than configuring their methodology to fit with the system. This new updated Indico CGP was released on 30th April 2014.
